Pinto Beans, Ham Hocks Cornbread And Pickled Onions

*Ingredients :

°2 lb pork shanks
°1 pound pinto beans
°3 cloves of garlic
°1 chicken broth 32 ounces (less sodium)
°1 tablespoon of butter
°1 medium onion minced
°1 stalk of celery chopped
°1/2 green bell pepper, minced
°1/2 teaspoon cumin
°1 teaspoon paprika
°1/2 teaspoon black pepper
°1 teaspoon dried parsley and thyme
°1 vegetable stock cube

*Methods :

Note: I cooked mines on the stove for 4 1/2 hours, the meat will fall apart, but if you're wondering why I didn't start cooking the peas sooner, that's if you do cook peas for 4 hours on a stove, it will turn into porridge. so I added them halfway through to keep them firm and smooth.
