Apple Pie Dumplings

*Ingredients for 4 persons

°4 small pippin or api apples.
°1 pastry (puff pastry or shortcrust pastry)
°brown sugar
°1 egg yolk


Peel the apples. Cut the rolled out dough into 4 and place an apple on each piece. Sprinkle the apples with brown sugar and cinnamon, fold the dough over the apples and seal the edges. Brush the top with the egg yolk and sprinkle again with brown sugar.
Bake for 40-45 minutes.
